What to Expect

Knowing what comes next can make the first step easier.

Before Your First Visit

After your introductory phone call, you'll complete intake paperwork and questionnaires through the client portal—including medications, psychiatric history, and records. Completing these ahead of time lets us focus your evaluation on you, not paperwork.

Your First Visit

Meet for a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. A full hour dedicated to understanding you—not a rushed appointment.
Discuss symptoms, history, goals, and treatment options. We'll talk through what you're experiencing and what matters most to you.
Develop a personalized plan together. We start by looking at lifestyle, environment, and behavioral factors, and build from there—a collaborative treatment plan that may include education, therapeutic strategies, and lifestyle approaches, with medication considered when appropriate.

Visit Length

Initial evaluations are 1 hour, giving us the time needed to fully understand your story.

Where We Meet

In-person visits at our Kailua office are recommended for initial evaluations, though telehealth options are available throughout Hawaii if preferred.

Follow-Up Frequency

Follow-up visits are scheduled at a frequency we determine together, based on your treatment plan and goals.

Communication
